…but don’t take our word for it. Here are some clients that have something to say about Body by John.

So much more than just a trainer, John has become not only my friend but a mentor in my quest for a healthier, happier, and more vibrant me.
I started with John about a year ago – weighing in at just less than 200 lbs. It had taken me about 3 years to lose 85 pounds and now I was finally under that dreaded 200 mark.
A friend of mine told me of John and what wonders he had done for him. I thought “personal trainer… can I afford it? Then I thought, can I afford not to?” I had had gotten to a point where I needed something “more” I needed a better diet – more motivation – someone who would push me as I would have never pushed myself. I found all of those and so much more with John.
My favorite conversations with John seem to start out with “remember when….?”
Remember when I first started out swinging an 8lb kettle bell that almost sent me into cardiac arrest?
Remember when I took my first boot camp class and thought after 15 minutes I would call it quits?
Remember when you (John) called me out and told me that you could tell that I was not following the plan? You could see that my waist was not shrinking… and that I was losing steam?
Remember when I finally got it? When I understood what I needed to be doing and started realizing results?
All of these milestones big and small are due in no small part to amazing training coupled with some tough love.
I have lost an additional 45 pounds with 20 more to go. I have gone from a size 14 to a size 8. .. And there is no stopping now. With help from John I have been able to take myself physically where I never thought that I could possibly go before.
My daughter has told me that I have become the Benjamin Button of mothers and look better now than I ever have before.
When I receive compliments on how I am looking I simply smile and say
“Are you looking for serious results? If you are, Body by John… he can make you look like this too!”

As a person with many years in the fitness industry, and a avid runner, I have always been concerned with health. I am now owner of FIT CHIX RULE. I was shocked to find myself stressed, tired and out of shape a few years ago. As the owner of a successful and growing landscaping company, I just couldn’t tear myself away from work to really take care of myself. Fitness was just one more thing I “had to do”. I was running, and eating ok, but definitely not at my peak. This is when John recommended that I try something called Kettle bells. The very first time he ever took me through a kettlebell workout I was hooked…. The workout was intense, only took 30 minutes and it was FUN. I actually WANTED to workout again. John’s enthusiasm was contagious and I continued to use Kettlebells as a primary strength tool. My back stopped hurting, I stopped getting headaches and just naturally seemed to want to take better care of myself all the time. Now, I am taking my Kettlebell certification and getting back into something I love and owe that all to John for that first Kettlebell workout.

I’m 38 years old and am a working mom. I had been dealing with pain and
numbness in my right hand and wrist for years. Repetitive motion had caused this from my job as a hair stylist. I had always thought that this was something I had to deal with. But since I’ve been training with kettlebells with John, the pain and numbness is gone. I’ve gained strength as well as muscle tone everywhere! And it’s fun! I used to spend hours in the gym. Now I spend thirty to forty-five minutes four times per week. I have more time with my daughter and more time for me!

Two years ago a friend recommended John to me. I was coming off of two shoulder surgeries and was badly out of shape. I had always been a passionate athlete and I was frustrated with my fitness and almost certainly faced having to give up sports after high school. I began working with John three times per week and was amazed with the results. Whatever the next level is for you, John has the knowledge and passion to take you there. With his help I was able to make my college team this past spring as a walk-on and went to the NCAA tournament. He comes prepared for every workout with a variety of exercises, motivational intensity, and a great sense of humor. After two years of training he has still been able to surprise me each day with new exercises to keep my workout fresh and interesting. He enjoys working with kettle bells which were completely foreign to me before meeting with John. I was amazed at the versatility and effectiveness of kettle bell workouts. I immediately enjoyed the workout much more than other programs I had done. He also employs a variety of other training methods including free weights, band resistance, and a variety of cardio techniques. He knows how to get the most out of your workout by focusing on form, technique, and variety. The results brought by his vast knowledge are evident. No matter what your fitness goals are, I would encourage you to take advantage of John’s expertise. I have been training with John for over 10 months and have attained great results. I am a career firefighter. My job and fitness go hand in hand, but that wasn’t the case a year and a half ago. I had allowed myself the luxuries of too many firehouse meals and freebies from the fridge. I had become overweight and grossly out of shape. One evening I injured myself while doing my job and it frustrated me. It didn’t have to happen and it was my own damn fault. I began working with a personal trainer who helped me immensely. After some success, she suggested I attend one of John’s kettle bellboot camps.

I had watched some of my co-workers using kettlebells and was concerned that I may re-injure myself. To say I was skeptical would be an understatement. After just a few minutes with John, I knew that things were about to change for me. John’s teaching style is straightforward and he makes every effort for you to not only get down the motions of the exercise, but understand the biomechanics of it. I quickly found myself attending kettlebell class whenever I could. After my trainer relocated, John became my trainer. Kettlebells played a major role in all of my workouts. With the help of John, I have changed my body composition dramatically and dropped over 20 pounds. I have gone from using 26lb kettlebells to regularly using the 52 pounder! My cardio conditioning has also improved along with functional strength.

John is highly motivated and passionate about his work. He is truly concerned about his clients and their goals. He is not afraid to speak his mind or provide you with that extra-tough workout to get you over a hurdle. John helped me train for firefighter combat challenge and no doubt played a major role in my personal success.
